Introducing the 2010 Crystal Pratt, Angela Pratt, Jessica Spring, Emma Chase, Anna Barker, Shelby Felder, Cara Cate, Nicole Manning, Sara Eerkes, Jennifer Denton, Denise Brown, Britania Hanson and Jessica Townsend.

Hello, my name is Crystal Pratt, I am 12 years old and I attend Michael T. Simons. This is my new best friend Amigo, a.k.a. One Hot Italian. We are going into our first show season together and looking forward to all of the new challenges. Amigo enjoys showmanship, western, English and loves to be in the show ring. We plan on showing in the Pinto shows along with 4-H shows getting ready for my first year as intermediate at State. Learning every day and trying to get better is what makes our new friendship worth all the work. Look forward to meeting new friends and their horses.

Hello, my name is Angela Pratt. I am ten years old and attend Michael T. Simons School. This will be my second year showing with Taffy a.k.a. "Twice as Fancy." We enjoy the show ring. We work hard together and every day learn something new from each other. I have found Taffy being 22 teaches me the most. This will my first year in Washington State Horsemen and my second year at the WS Finals. I’m looking forward to the 2010 show year and hope everyone has a great year!

Hello, my name is Jessica Spring. My family has four horses: Hollywood, Oscar, Reba, and Capote. I participate in both open shows and APHA shows and am in training with Warrick Performance Horses. This is my fifth year in Washington State Horseman and my third year as a Washington State Finals princess. I hope everyone is having a great 2010 show year and I will see around at the shows!.

Hello, my name is Emma Chase and I am very excited for the upcoming year. I am sixteen years old and I am a sophomore at Capital High School in Olympia, WA. I live in Olympia as I have for most of my life with my mom, dad, brother, our dog Ginger and my three horses; Lace, Mojo and Autumn. I am very active within the horse community. I have participated in 4H for the past 6 years and am currently a member of the Reservation Riders 4H club. I am also a member of the Tumwater High School Equestrian Team. This will also be my third year showing in the Washington State Horsemen organization.

I enjoy many disciplines with my horses. I have shown performance within Pinto, B system, WAHSET and through 4H for the past six years. I also perform on a 12 man drill team; participate in many team gaming events and individual gaming events. I have competed in several competitive trail rides and love to pleasure trail ride as well. I feel that a horse needs to do more than go around in an arena circle to be a happy show horse and so do I.

I have decided to participate in the Queen competition for the Washington State Finals Show because it is really my favorite show of the year. It is usually the last “big” show of the year and puts a great end to everyone’s show season. The show is always filled with great times and great memories-camping with lots of friends, the donuts with friends on the way to lunge every morning, sitting around waiting for our classes with all my friends, pigging out on pizza on Friday night or burgers on Saturday night after some long days of showing. Waiting around with all of the past princesses and helping them get ready for their patterns and helping wherever we could with the show. All of these things have led me to compete and raise money to make the 2009 show a big success.

I am looking forward to making the 2009 show year a lot of fun with the other princesses and the Washington State Horsemen organization. I will represent the organization and show as I try and raise money and prizes throughout the next year. I want to wish the best of luck to all of the other princesses in all of their endeavors as well.

Anna Barker is 12 years old, in the 7th grade and goes to Rochester Middle School. This will be Anna's 2nd year in WSH and 2nd year as a WSH Finals Princess.

She rides a Paint Mare named Dynamic Dancin and has many other animals on her little ranch in Rochester. Princess Anna is a honor student in school. Anna loves to be with her friends and also loves to work on a agliity course with her Corgi named Katie Sue. Anna is very excited for the 2009 show season! She wishes all her friends good luck, and to all her sponsors a big Thank you!

Hi, my name is Shelby Felder. I am 13 years old and in the 7th grade at Elma Middle School. I live in Elma with my mom (Heather), my step-dad (Mark), my brother (Casey), my 2 Corgis (Harley and Penelope), my 3 cats (Cali, Ripley, and Sunny), and my rabbit (Slick). You could say I have quite the zoo at my house!

I have been involved in Washington State Horsemen for 5 years, starting out in leadline. I showed my Appaloosa mare, Munch for 3 years in 10 & Under Walk/Trot and 13 and Under. I have enjoyed my time in Washington State Horseman, it has allowed me to make many friends (kids and adults) and to have a lot of great mentors!

During 2008 I was horse shopping and looking for a long time! I finally found a horse and I was so excited, the horse I found was a 2004 Appaloosa gelding by the name of Skip The Chips (Rodney). I went out to test ride this wonderful horse and ending up buying him on September 8th. Rodney has come very far since I purchased him and we plan on doing 4-H and some B-System show, along with the Finals Show this year.

I’m looking forward to the 2010 season and all the new people I hope meet! See you at the show!

The names Cara Rene Cate :) 16 would be the age. Born July 12. Currently, going to North Thurston HighSchool as a Junior. I proudly own a nice big paint named Vegas, but over the announcer he is known as Eyed B Stylin. We show English Pleasure, Hunt Seat Eq, and Showmanship. And just recently I’ve introduced him to the outer world of around the barn riding, we haven’t nessecarly proceeded to the mountain climbing, but we do like to run up hills. We haven’t really gotten to show a lot this past year because I was ill. But we did do one WASHET meet and a couple B system shows. This is my second year in WSH, and last year I was crowned Junior Queen. I can already tell that this season will be better than the last. So good luck to everyone and will see ya arounds.

Hello, my name is Nicole Manning. I am very excited to be a Princess for the 2009 Washington State Finals Show. For as long as I can remember I have been in love with horses. I began riding six years ago with my first trainer, Amanda. She was the first of my many mentors in the horse world. She taught me how to ride english and to jump. I even got to ride her horse Esperado in the 2006 Andalusion Regional show in Oregon.

Four years ago, my mom and I happened upon a beautiful Pinto with an abusive and depressing history. His name is Elvis. After several years of groundwork and gentle riding, my mom and I were ready to dive into the show circuit with Elvis. He moved from his home at Harper Valley Farms to Chesney Stables and Classic Show Horses, where he remains today. Under the guidance of my trainer, LuAnn LeMon, we hope to take Elvis to a Pinto show this year. I have also been blessed with having the opportunity to participate in A System Arabian shows with Classic Show Horses.

I show my horse english and western pleasure and showmanship, while my mom shows him western pleasure and halter. I am involved in my High School Equestrian Team. I am also the Secretary for the Region V Arabian Youth Board. I run varsity track, play the flute, and do ballet. I am a sophomore at North Thurston High School in Lacey.

I always have so much fun at all of the Lope On In shows, especially the Jerry Prigge Memorial. I wish the best of luck to everyone showing this year. I hope that everyone has fun with their horses and friends! I would also like to thank all of the individuals and vendors who are sponsoring me; your donations are truly appreciated.

Hello my name is Sarah Eerkes and I am 15 years old, I am a sophomore at Tumwater High School. I enjoy riding horses, quads, and hanging out with my friends. I have one horse named Dreamin Eclipse a.k.a Sissy she is a 6 year old paint mare. I have owned and rode her since November of 2007, I got her for my birthday present.

This year with Sissy and I planning on attending schooling shows, B’ system shows, 4-H, WA State Horseman Shows, the Final Show, and High School Equestrian Meet. I did make it to state for the High School Equestrian Team, and got 2nd in Trail. Sissy and I had an amazing first experience at state all the way over in Pasco, Washington. You can say I am one busy girl. I also like to do other things with Sissy those things include; trail ride, gaming (which is of course just for the fun of it) and I am starting to get into cows (which includes, sorting, penning, and roping).

This is my first year attending the Princess Court/ Queen Competition. I am looking forward to meeting new people, and getting more people involved Washington State Horseman.

So hope to run into you at the shows.
- Sarah Eerkes

Hi my name is Britania Hanson. I am 16 years old and a junior at Tumwater High School. This is my first year doing Washington Sate Horseman.

I have been riding horses since I could walk. I am competing with my horse, AB Rembrandt, this year. He was born in my barn and is now 12 years old. Rembrandt is the horse that really taught me how to ride. We have a great bond together. I have done 4-H for ten years now, this is my second year doing high school equestrian team, I have also done a little bit of "A" system and now I am doing Washington State Horseman. I am very excited for this up coming year.

Hey There! My name is Jessica Townshend and this is my horse, Gypsy. We are both excited to be princesses of the Washington State Finals show this year since we have previously only shown open, 4-H, and WAHSET. We were on the North Thurston Equestrian Team although I attend Timberline High School and I'm coming up on my senior year! Gypsy and I have been a team for a year and a half. We do everything from gaming, to jumping, to cows, to saddle seat. Before her, I had a horse named Avery; and before Avery, I had my first horse named Domuno who is now my mom's. Gypsy and I are really excited for this show season because we've worked out a lot of kinks and are ready for some good times and favorite memories. We hope everyone has a good time and wish everyone good luck!
