CALL JUDGES

The call judges shall alternate per class. For example, the first tiebreaker judge shall be the odd classes for the day and the second judge shall be the even classes for the day. Class Champions, Reserves and Buckle Championships shall be calculated 1st–5 points, 2nd–4 points, 3rd–3 points, 4th–2 points and 5th-1 point. The highest total points shall win the buckle. A call judge shall break any ties.

BREED AND ALL-AROUND BUCKLES

Breed buckles count halter and open breed classes. All other breed if your breed class is not offered. Open awards count all classes within that specific open category and championship classes do not apply. Only age divisions and class specific to high point shall count. Ranch Riding Only the Open Ranch classes count. For example, Ranch Conformation, Ranch Riding, Ranch Rail. All around buckles shall be calculated as follows: 1st-5 points, 2nd-4 points, 3rd-3 points, 4th–2 points and 5th-1 point. All around ties shall be broke by the highest score in halter. If there is still a tie the last classes recorded shall be broke by the call judge.

TEAM EVENT

$15 per event. You may only compete for one team and must designate your event by number per team. Champion team members all win buckles; Reserve Champion through 4th place will receive awards. Show your team spirit! Costumes are encouraged.

OFFICE

The office will open Thursday at 1 p.m. and will close PROMPTLY at 6 p.m. Stalls are pre-assigned and a stall chart will be posted at each barn and on the office door.

AGE

The age of an individual on January 1, 2023 is maintained the entire year. For show purposes, a horse becomes one year old Jan. 1 following foaling date.

AMATEUR

To enter classes for Amateurs, the show accepts ApHC, AQHA, AMHA, APHA, PtHA, NRHA, WSH or USEF certification is required. 19-year-olds may use Breed Limit Youth or Youth Membership card.

AWARDS

A Champion and Reserve Champion are awarded for every class offered at this show. The winners are determined by using the placing of both judges, 1st-5, 2nd-4, 3rd-3, 4th-2, 5th-1. Championship Classes are awarded a buckle to the combined winner under both judges.

CAMPER PARKING

Is available on the grounds. Any vehicle parked in a RV slot shall be charged per night for the RV space with or without hookup. ALL RV RESERVATIONS MUST BE DONE ON OUR ONLINE SITE PRIOR TO THE SHOW.

CHANGES

Show Management may combine/cancel unfilled classes; accept entries for unfilled classes at regular fee; divide classes as entries warrant. Exhibitors will be advised over the PA system.

CONDUCT

Show Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry of an exhibitor or the participation of an agent, trainer, rider, or driver who has shown an objectionable attitude toward a Recognized Show or previous un-sportsman like behavior at a Recognized Show or to its Management. They may ask anyone on the grounds to leave at any time for any reason. This is a private function, and you may be asked to leave and are expected to vacate the premises immediately if asked.

DOGS

Dogs are not permitted to run loose or left unattended unless confined inside a vehicle or tied to a vehicle. No dogs allowed in the paddock area, grandstands or any area where horses are. Dogs are not permitted in the show area.

LEADLINE EXHIBITORS

Leadline exhibitors must wear an ASTM/SEI approved helmet properly fitted and adjusted in all classes and while mounted on the show grounds.

PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR

Hunter Pleasure and Hunter Seat Equitation Junior riders/exhibitors must wear an approved ASTM/SEI protective headgear while mounted. It is mandatory that all Riders (Sr. & Jr. Exhibitors) where jumping is required (this includes Hunter Hack & any Over Fence classes) and when jumping anywhere on competition grounds to wear properly fastened protective headgear which meets or exceeds ASTM and SEI standards.

STALLIONS

JUNIOR EXHIBITORS (18 YEARS & UNDER) may not show a stallion

REGISTRY NUMBER

Registry number and full registered name required to enter classes for registered horses. Please send a copy of your papers or be prepared to present them upon check in at the office.

ENTRIES

Entries must be in writing, signed by owner/authorized agent and rider, driver, handler, and accompanied by proper fees. Parent/Guardian must sign the entry of a junior exhibitor.

PRE-ENTRY CLOSING DATE

All entries must be done online by September 10th to be considered a pre-entry.

FEES

PRE-ENTER HORSE IN THREE CLASSES TO RECEIVE THE PRE-ENTRY FEE FOR THE SHOW. OPEN CHECKS ARE ACCEPTED AT THE SHOW BUT SCRATCHED CLASSES ARE STILL CHARGED TO THE TAB, NO EXCEPTIONS. YOU MUST USE ONLINE SYSTEM FOR THE THREE CLASSES TO RECEIVE THE PRE-ENTRY PRICE FOR ADDED CLASSES AT THE SHOW.

POST ENTRIES: ACCEPTED ONLINE THROUGH THE SHOW. HORSES PRE-ENTERED IN THREE OR MORE CLASSES ARE EXEMPT FROM POST ENTRY FEES.

CHECKS TO LOPE ON IN

Classes: PRE $15 / Post $20 per class

Championship Classes: PRE $15 / Post $20 per class

Stalls: PRE $115/ POST $130 weekend, plus a $25 refundable cleaning fee once stalls are stripped and approved as clean. The fee shall be refunded to the show tab. Pictures of the clean stall with name and back number shall be sent via text to 253-208-8319 within 1 hour of shows completion.

Day Stalls: $55 per day (no overnight) plus a $25 refundable cleaning fee once stalls are stripped and approved as clean. The fee shall be refunded to the show tab. Pictures of the clean stall with name and back number shall be sent via text to 253-208-8319 within 1 hour of shows completion.

Tack Stall: $80

Shavings: Shavings fee is included in the stall fee. Bulk shavings will be provided upon arrival to the show grounds. Bring your wheelbarrow.

AQHA Judges Fee: $10 per judge

Office Fee: $15

RV Water and Power: $35 per night

RV (LOT 5 only) Water, power and sewer $45 per night. First come basis limited spaces.

RETURN CHECKS

Checks RETURNED FOR ANY REASON INCUR A $35 SERVICE CHARGE and future entries will be by money order or cash only. Personal checks will not be accepted from these exhibitors.

POST ENTRIES

Post entries must be made before the preceding class enters the ring. Pre-entry at regular fee for horses pre-entered in a minimum of three classes.

OPEN CHECKS/CREDIT CARDS FOR POST ENTRIES

Open checks for post entries accepted as a courtesy so exhibitors can write one check, however classes once entered are charged. Scratches are not deducted from the amount owing.

REFUND OF ENTRY FEES

Refund of entry fees less a fee of $30 will be made on receipt of a Veterinarian’s Certificate specifying the exact nature of the disability, accompanied by the Veterinarian’s bill for treatment and presented prior to the horse’s first class. Refund checks will be mailed unless applied towards a new entry. Other than horse vet outs no refunds will be granted.

GATE HOLDS

Gate Holds are limited to horses/riders in consecutive classes and shall not exceed three minutes.

LOSS AND INJURY

The Lope on In Club its members, members of the Show Committee and their Associates will not be responsible for any loss or damage or injury to horses exhibited, or for any article of any kind that may be lost or destroyed, or in any way injured. Each exhibitor will be responsible for any injury that may be occasioned to any person, whomsoever, by any horses owned or exhibited by him and shall indemnify the Lope on In Club, its members, members of the Show Committee and their Associates against all claims and demands of any kind or nature that may grow out of injury occasioned by any horses owned or exhibited by him, or arise from the negligence of the person in charge of any such horse. The owner, rider/driver and any of their agents or representatives acknowledge that they participate voluntarily in the competition fully aware that horse sports and the competition involve inherent dangerous risk, and by participating they expressly assume any and all risks of injury or loss, and they agree to hold the competition and its officials, directors, employees and agents harmless for any injury or loss suffered during or in connection with the competition, whether or not such injury or loss resulted, directly or indirectly, from the negligent acts or omissions of said officials, directors, employees or agents. All horses exhibited will be entirely at the owner’s risk. Submitting entry shall constitute acceptance by the owner and exhibitor of all provisions as set forth herein. The Lope on In Club, its members, members of the Show Committee and their Associates cannot be held liable for loss or injury to the person or property of any visitor, guest, or spectator.

NUMBERS

Exhibitor’s numbers must be adequately attached on Exhibitors back or on each side of the saddle pad, with exception to any “in hand class” where the number can be pinned to the front of the exhibitor. NUMBERS MUST BE VISIBLY NOTICABLE FROM ACROSS THE ARENA. COMPETITORS WILL BE DISQUALIFIED IF THE CORRECT NUMBER IS NOT IN PLACE.

STABLING

If stabling with a group, PLEASE SEND STALL RESERAVTIONS IN AS A GROUP. STALLS WILL ONLY BE HELD IF PREPAID. There are about 488 usable permanent metal construction box stalls, with solid dividers, on the grounds. Stalls are assigned to our sponsors first and then to accommodate large groups in order received. Feed is available next to the Fairgrounds. No telephone reservations stalls must be prepaid for assignment. NO CHANGE OF ASSIGNED STALL IS PERMITTED WITHOUT SHOW OFFICE AUTHORIZATION.
